Indonesia's GDP Growth May Reach 5.2% in Q3 2017: Central Bank

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia has predicted that the country's economic growth may reach about 5.1-5.2 percent in the third quarter of 2017.

"Our economy could grew 5.1-5.2 percent in the third quarter. It could grew higher in the fourth quarter," Bank Indonesia deputy governor Mirza Adityaswara said in South Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon.

The country's economy growth was primarily influenced by robust private sector. It was also aslo influenced by increasing government spending.

"Our economy will be more positive. It will be much better," the central bank official added.

The country's economic growth firmly stood at 5.01 percent in the second quarter. It also stood at 5.01 percent in the first quarter.

The government's GDP growth target was increased to 5.2 percent in the revised 2017 state budget. It was set at 5.1 percent in the initial 2017 state budget.
