Indonesia Has Rights to Collect Taxes from Google: Sri Mulyani

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati reiterated that Google must pay taxes in Indonesia.

"We welcome all companies. We respect their investments. You have business here and create value here," she said on Thursday (12/22).

"But we also have rights," the former World Bank managing director stated.

Previously, The government rejected a tax settlement offer from the tech company. The government stated the offer is too low.

"We submitted a number. They then offered a far lower number," Jakarta Special Tax Office head Muhammad Haniv said on Tuesday (12/20).
