Indonesian Imports Up to $14.19 Billion in October 2017: BPS

Jakarta: Indonesia's import value stood at $14.19 billion in October 2017, an increase of 11.04 percent compared to September 2017.

"It was quite higher in October 2017," Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS) head Suhariyanto said in Central Jakarta on Wednesday morning.

"It will be a little bit higher in November-December period," he added.

The country's non oil and gas import value stood at $11.99 billion last month. It increased by 10.52 percent compared to the previous month.

The country's oil and gas import value stood at $2.2 billion last month. It increased by 13.96 percent compare to the previous month.

The top import origins are China, Japan, ASEAN and the European Union. The top import products are raw materials, capital goods and consumer goods.
