Indonesia Records USD0.47 Billion Trade Surplus in May:BPS

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported the country's trade surplus reached USD0.47 billion in May 2017.

Indonesia's exports reached USD14.29 billion last month. The country's exports increased by 7.62 percent compared to the previous month.

"Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports reached USD13.02 billion last month. Indonesia's non oil and gas exports increased by 6.37 percent compared to the previous month," the BPS social statistics deputy Sairi Hasbullah said in Jakarta on Thursday.

Indonesia's imports reached USD13.82 billion last month. The country's exports increased by 15.67 percent compared to the previous month.

"Indonesia's non-oil and gas imports reached USD 12 billion last month. Indonesia's non-oil and gas imports increased by 16.49 percent compared to the previous month," the BPS official said.
