High Commodity Prices Boost Exports in December 2016

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that Indonesian exports reached USD13.77 billion in December 2016.

Indonesian exports increased by 1.99 percent compared with the previous month. Indonesian exports soared by 15.57 percent compared with the same period last year.

"Non-oil and gas commodity prices are rising," BPS chairman Suhariyanto told reporters at the BPS headquarters on Monday, January 16, 2017.

"Copra, palm oil and others," he continued.

Non-oil and gas exports reached USD12.45 billion, while oil and gas exports reached USD1.32 billion.
