Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia Governor Agus Martowidjojo has revealed the central bank may maintain the 7 Day Reverse Repo Rate until the end of the year.

This month, the 7 Day Reverse Repo Rate was slashed by 25 basis points to 4.25 percent. Furthermore, the lending facility rate and deposite facility rate were slashed by 25 basis points each to five percent and 3.25 percent respectively.

"The level is good enough. It is quite feasible," the former finance minister told reporters on Thursday, September 28, 2017.

"Our current account deficit will be below two percent of the GDP in 2017. It will be below 2.5 percent of the GDP in 2018,"the former Bank Mandiri chief executive officer added.

Bank Indonesia is committed to improve measures to monitor both internal and external risks. The central bank is ready to strengthen cooperation with related government agencies.
