Govt to Maintain Fuel & Electricity Prices for Next 3 Months

Jakarta: The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will maintain fuel and electricity prices in the first quarter of 2018.

"Fuel and electricity prices will be maintained from January 1-March 31. They will be maintained at the current level," said Minister Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan in Central Jakarta on Wednesday morning.

As the result, the subsidized gasoline price will be maintaned at Rp6,450 per liter. Meanwhile, the subsidized diesel fuel price will be maintained at Rp5,150 per liter.

On the other hand, the subsidized 450 VA electricity tariff will be maintained at Rp415 per KWH. Meanwhile, the subsidized 900 VA electrcity tariff will be maintained at Rp605 per KWH.

"We will maintain all tariffs for 450 VA, 900 VA and Tariff Adjustment groups," State electrcity Company (PLN) CEO Sofyan Basir added.
