BTN Records Positive KPR Growth in 2017

Jakarta: State-owned lender Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) recorded that its Home Ownership Loan (KPR) program grew strongly in 2017.

"It is quite extaordinary The subsidized KPR program grew around 35 percent. The non-subsidized KPR program grew around 11-12 percent," said BTN president director Maryono in Bogor City on Tuesday.

"The news regarding weakening property industry is not 100 percent true. Our subisidized KPR program still grew around 35 percent. Our non-subsidized KPR program also grew positively," he underlined.

The state-owned bank will continue the government backed 1 Million Houses program next year. It will improve financial services for middle-to-lower class people.

"We have gathered the experience. We will the support the government program," he added.
