Metrotvnews.com, Mandalika: President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo inaugurated a special economic zone in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara on Friday, October 20, 2017.

"We only held one meeting. We then published a presidential instruction," the PDIP politician said.

"After that, we just needed less than two months. Thank God, we quickly resolved all land acquisition problems," the media-savvy politician said.

The Mandalika Special Economic Zone will focus on tourism sector. The investors will build malls, hotels and resorts.

The Mandalika Special Economic Zone is aimed to improve local tourism industry to boost West Nusa Tenggara's economic development.  The government is committed to build special economic zones to support disadvantaged regions. 

"If investors cannot start construction activities in the next six months, officials can revoke issued permits without hesitation," the former Jakarta governor said.
