Indonesia Records Trade Surplus of $1.76% in September:BPS

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported the country's trade surplus stood at $1.76 billion in September 2017.

Indonesia's exports stood at $14.54 billion in September 2017. Meanwhile, the country's imports stood at $12.78 billion last month.

Indonesia's non-oil and gas sector posted a trade surplus of $2.26 billion in September 2017. On the other side, the country's oil and gs sector posted a trade deficit of $0.5 million last month.

"The trade surplus stood at $10.87 billion in January-September 2017. The figure rose significantly compared to the same period last year," said BPS Suhariyanto in Central Jakarta on Monday morning.

Indonesia recorded a trade surplus of $1.72 billion in August 2017. Previously, the country recorded a trade deficit of $0.27 in July 2017.
