Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Indonesian President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo received former Japanese prime minister Yasuo Fukuda at Freedom Palace in Central Jakarta on Friday morning.

They addressed a wide range of bilateral cooperation opportunities. They highlighted a number of high-profile infrastructure projects.

"We have held regular meetings from time to time," Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said.

"President has urged more investments from Japanese companies," the Indonesian top diplomat added.

They talked about the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit, Patimban Port and Jakarta-Surabaya Railway. They also talked about energy, waste management and highway projects.

The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) politician brought at least 12 Japanese investors during the visit. The senior politician also planned series of activities in the Indonesia's capital.
