Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) is committed to develop gas infrastructures in the western regions.

PGN has constructed gas pipelines in Batam, Bekasi, Pasuruan, Sidoarjo and surabaya. The state-owned company also has expanded gas networks in urban areas.

"Several gas pipelines have been operational this year," said PGN vice president corporate communication Irwan Andri Atmanto in a written statement on Wednesday (11/23).

"The rest will be operational in 2017," he continued.

PGN currently serves 119,960 households, 1,929 small enterprises and 1,630 big enterprises.

"PGN operates 78 percent of gas infrastructures in Indonesia," he stated.
