Govt to Tackle Illegal Imported Goods

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Customs and Excise Directorate General is committed to cooperate with related agencies to prevent illegal imported goods.

A coordinating meeting was held at the Cutoms and Excise Directorate General office in Rawamangun, East Jakarta on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. It was joined by the Finance Ministry, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the National Police, the Attorney General's Office (AGO), the National Armed Forces (TNI), the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).

"Illegal imported goods could disturb economic actities," Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said.

"Illegal imported goos could reduce state revenues," the  former World Bank managing director said.

The Customs and Excise Directorate General has prepared several measures. It has approached many stakeholders.
