Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry is committed to boost geothermal energy sector in Indonesia.

"We want to make geothermal exploration easy," said acting Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan at his office in Jakarta on Thursday (10/13).

"We will reduce the number of permits. We will make it more simple," he continued.

Meanwhile, the ministry's geothermal director Yunus Saefulhak said many investors are interested to develop geothermal sector in the country.

"Hopefully, we can reach 150 percent (investment target) this year," Yunus stated.
