Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Singapore Ambassador to Indonesia Anil Kumarnayar denied his country tries to hamper the implementation of the tax amnesty program.

"Not at all. That is Indonesian policy," he said at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs office in Jakarta on Tuesday (9/202/2016).

"We don't hamper tax amnesty," he continued.

Kumarnayar mentioned Singapore is not afraid with tax amnesty in Indonesia. Singapore is a strategic financial hub in the region.

"As a financial center, capital outflow is normal," he stated.

Previously, reports emerged that the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) instructed  banks to report clients embracing tax amnesty in Indonesia.
