Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) said economic growth in the third quarter of 2016 was weaker than previous projection.

"Around five percent," said BI economic and monetary policy executive director Juda Agung at his office in Jakarta on Thursday (10/20).

Juda mentioned global economy will remain sluggish this year. The impact of fiscal stimuli will also be limited.

"Economic growth this year will be around the lower end of the 4.9-5.3 percent range," he continued.

Previously, Indonesian economy grew 4.92 percent in the first quarter and 5.18 percent in the second quarter.
