Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution has admitted the realization of the tax amnesty program is still far below the target.

The government expects to receive Rp165 trillion in additional revenue from the program. However, after almost two months, redemption money from the program is only around Rp10 trillion.

"Yes, it is below expectations," Darmin said here on Wednesday (9/14/2016).

"We will see until December. We will push tax officers to promote the program," he continued.

The government launched tax amnesty program in July 2016. It will be ended in March 2017.
