Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and PLN have signed a loan agreement worth USD130 million for Java-2 Combined Cycle Power Plant (PLTGU Java 2) project.

The signing ceremony was held in Jakarta on Thursday (10/20). It was witnessed by officials from the Finance Ministry, the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry and the National Development Planning Agency.

"Loan agreement between JBIC and PLN for PLGU Java 2 project," said the Finance Ministry's fiscal policy head Suahasil Nazara after the signing ceremony.

The project is located in Tanjung priok. The 800MW power plant is funded without state guarantee.

JBIC CEO Tadashi Maeda said the agency is also interested to fund PLTGU Java 1 project.

"We could fund the project. The value would be higher than this loan agreement," said Maeda.
