Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry is expected to lower Premium gasoline price on October 1, 2016.

The ministry evaluates fuel prices every three months. It calculates crude oil price average in the last three months.

"We will have little change. Premium will go down, while diesel fuel will go up," the ministry's oil and gas director general IGN Wiratmaja Puja said at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Thursday (9/22).

However, the ministry has not decided the new prices yet. It will determine the new prices as early as this weekend. "The change will be around Rp300 and Rp500 per liter," Wiratmaja continued.

Current Premium gasoline price is Rp6,450 per liter, while diesel fuel price is Rp5,150 per liter.
