Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) decreased by 56.36 points or 1.03 percent to 5,414 on Wednesday (11/9).

The LQ45 index decreased by 13.4 points to 921, while the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) declined by 10.81 points to 730.

The volume reached 12.5 billion worth around Rp9.2 trillion. 100 stocks strengthened, 220 stocks weakened and 81 stocks remained unchanged.

Trade sector increased by 3.93 points. Meanwhile, infrastructure sector declined by 24.72 points.

The top gainers were PT Indo Kordsa Tbk (BRAM), PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (LPPF) and PT Harum Energy Tbk (HRUM).

The top losers were PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM), PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI).

The stock market fell after Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the United States presidential election.

Trump is considered as a threat to global economy. He is expected to apply protectionist policies.
