Gov't Mulls Energy Conservation Technology from California

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Indonesian government is mulling to adopt energy conservation technology from California, the United States (US).

Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan recently visited California. He observed the energy conversation technology in the state.

"They can save around 5-8 percent," Luhut said after a meeting at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday (10/3).

"We will send a team from PLN (state electricity company), the Energy Ministry and the National Development Planning Agency," he continued.

Luhut came to the Presidential Palace to report about the visit. In addition, he also discussed about Masela oil and gas block.

"The Energy Ministry, SKK Migas (oil and gas regulator), Inpex an Shell meet two or three times a week. The progress is encouraging," he stated.
