Tax Amnesty Still Attractive after First Period: Sri Mulyani

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Finance Minister Sri Mulyani is still confident with the tax amnesty program, although the first period of the program will end this month.

The tax amnesty program is divided into three periods. The government offers the lowest redemption rates in the first period.

"It will not increase 200 percent. It will only increase to three percent," Sri Mulyani said at the Taxation Directorate General headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday (9/27).

"The tax amnesty program in Indonesia is the most attractive in the world," she continued.

Tax amnesty redemptions has reached around Rp60 trillion in the end of September. Many Indonesian tycoons have joined the program including Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) members.
