Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said Singapore authorities can't criminalize tax amnesty participants.

"I received information Indonesian taxpayers who want to join the tax amnesty program are worried they will be investigated by Singapore authorities," Sri said in a press conference here on Thursday (9/15) night.

Sri then sought clarification from the Singapore government. She ensured the Singapore government fully supports the tax amnesty program in Indonesia.

"I hope Indonesian taxpayers can join the program," she continued.

Tax program is intended to attract assets of Indonesian taxpayers in foreign countries. It will be implemented until March 2017.
