Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Agus Martowardojo said the central bank will study Donald Trump's economic policies.

Trump won the United States presidential election this week. He narrowly beat former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.

Trump promised to implement protectionist policies during campaign. He strongly criticized free trade agreements such as NAFTA and TPP.

"The protectionist policies could affect Indonesia," said Agus in Jakarta on Thursday (11/10).

"The United States is our third largest export destination," he continued.

The real estate tycoon will officially replace President Barack Obama next January.
