"Hopefully, the inflation will still be under control in the next three months," BPS head Suhariyanto said during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday (3/10).

Suhariyanto explained inflation in September was mainly influenced by chilli and cigarette prices. "Chilli prices increased due to bad weather," he continued.

He explained food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco category contributed 0.06 percent. Meanwhile, housing, electricity, gas, water and fuel category contributed 0.07 percent.
