Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: State energy company Pertamina expects 700,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) from its overseas oilfields in 2019.

"We currently have oilfields in Malaysia, Algeria and Iraq. We will have oilfields in Tanzania and Gabon next year," Pertamina vice president corporate communication Wianda Pusponegoro during a public discussion in Jakarta on Sunday (9/25).

"We also have an oil and gas exploration block in Myanmar," she continued.

Wianda explained overseas oilfields currently contribute 140,000 boepd or around 20 percent of the total production.

"We want to reach energy security," she concluded.
