Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and the Transportation Ministry will discuss about Jakarta-Surabaya rail project this week.

The coordinating ministry's infrastucture coordination deputy Ridwan Djamaluddin said they will discuss about the road map for the project.

"Japan wants to see the data first," he said at his office in Jakarta on Monday (10/10).

Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan invited Japan to build the railway when he visited the country last week.

Luhut explained the train will be able to run 180-200 kilometers per hour. It will take just around five or six hours to get from Jakarta to Surabaya.
