Gov't Expects Higher Non-Tax Revenue from Mining Sector in 2017

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The government expects to collect higher non-tax state revenue (PNBP) from the mining sector next year.

The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry's director general Bambang Gatot Ariyono said the government wants PNBP from the mining sector increases from Rp30.1 trillion in 2016 to Rp32.4 trillion in 2017.

"It is higher Rp2.4 trillion or by 7.9 percent," Bambang said at the Parliament Building Complex, Jakarta, Monday (9/5/2016).

He added that the target comprises revenues from coal and mineral natural resources at Rp17.7 trillion and sales of mining commodities at Rp14.7 trillion.

According to him, the government believes the coal prices will rise next year.
