Indonesia Seeks Stronger Economic Ties with the US
Illustration (Photo: MI/M Irfan), Jakarta: Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution said Indonesia wants to increase economic ties with the United States (US).

"US investments create jobs," Darmin said in his speech at the 4th US-Indonesia Investment Summit in Jakarta on Thursday, September 15, 2016.

"The Indonesian government is committed to implement reforms in various sectors," he added.

Darmin explained the government has taken measures to boost business climate, including legal and bureaucratic reforms.

"Legal certainty is the foundation of economic and business growth," he stated.

The US-Indonesia Investment Report 2016 mentioned the total value of economic relations between the two countries was USD90.1 billion in 2014.
