Big Demonstration in Jakarta Does Not Affect Rupiah: BI

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) Senior Deputy Governor Mirza Adityasawara said the mass protest in Jakarta this afternoon did not affect the rupiah.

"It did not affect the rupiah," said Mirza in Jakarta on Friday  (11/4).

The Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR) depreciated to Rp13,103 per USD today. Meanwhile, Bloomberg showed the rupiah strengthened by seven points or 0.05 percent to Rp13,068 per USD.

Moreover, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) also increased by 33.158 points or 0.622 percent to 5,362.
