The position could exacerbate back pain. It could give pressure to the back.

Here are tips to prevent the problem:

1. If you prefer to sleep face down, you should place a pillow under the stomach. 

2. If you prefer to sleep face up, you should place a small pillow or a towel under the knee. 

3. If you prefer to sleep sideways, you should do fetal position.
