Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: A mother's food intakes during pregnancy has a significant effect to the child's dental growth and development.

"A child's dental development starts during the mother's pregnancy," said pediatric dentist dr. Eva Fauziah in a discussion recently.

Eva advised pregnant woman to eat a lot of healthy foods. Protein, vitamin and calcium are good for child's dental development.

She mentioned lack of proteins can affect the outer email. The teeth can be prone to cavities.
