Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Do you know hand, foot and mouth disease? It is also known as Singapore flu.

It is a highly infectious disease. It usually occurs in children less than five years.

Dr. Robert Soetandio from Awal Bros Hospital in Tangerang said the disease is mainly caused by enteroviruses.

Here are the symptoms of hand, foot and mouth disease in babies?

- High fever up to more than 39 degrees celcius, as it may cause loss of consciousness of the children.

- Dizziness, red eye, stomach pain, nausea and diarrhea.

- Lack of appetite. 

- Pain on the neck, arms and legs.

- Red rashes on the hands, wrists, foot and mouth.
