Jokowi Familiar with Second Debate Topics

Jakarta: Spokesperson of National Campaign Team of the Indonesian Working Coalition (TKN-KIK) Ace Hasan Syadzily has said that incumbent President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is ready for the second presidential election debate.

The General Elections Commission (KPU) will hold five presidential election debates from January until April. All of them will be staged in the capital city of Jakarta.

The second debate will take place at Sultan Hotel in Central Jakarta on February 17.  It will focused on infrastructure, energy, agriculture, natural resources and environemnt. 

"Pak Jokowi has a lot of knowledge about those issues," the Golkar Party politician told reporters on Thursday.

"He also has good debate techniques," the House of Reprsentatives (DPR) member added.

The first debate took place at Bidakara Hotel in South Jakarta on January 17. It covered the issues of law, human rights, terrorism and corruption.
