"The suspects are Bengkulu Governor RM, Bengkulu governor's wife LMM, businessman RDS and PT SMS  director JHW," Alexander said.

The Golkar politician was caught in Bengkulu a day earlier. He moved to Jakarta not long after.

The former lawmaker was allegedly bribed in connection with two road construction projects in two separate regencies. He was reportedly promised around Rp4.7 billion by PT SMS.

"The bribe is the fee for PT SMS's tender victory in Bengkulu," Alexander said.
