Jakarta: Golkar Party secretary general Idrus Marham strongly believes that Golkar Party chairman Setya Novanto will surrender to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigation team.

"Pak Novanto will come to KPK head office. He will come voluntarily," he said at the National Police head office in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

The corruption watchdog issued an arrest warrant for Novanto earlier this week. The independent agency Visited the private residence of the parliament speaker last night.

However, Novanto's location is still unknown as of Thursday afternoon.

Novanto was recently named as a suspect in the electronic id-card graft case in October. The influential politician was allegedly involved in the deliberation of the electronic id-card procurement budget in 2010.

Novanto was named as a suspect in the same case in July. However, Novanto's suspect status was annulled by the South Jakarta District Court in September.
