Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) will secure the capital during the November 25 protest.

Brimob head Insp. Gen. Murad Ismail stated the special force will deploy 8,700 personnel and 36 anti-riot vehicles during the protest.

Murad mentioned the personnel will guard the Presidential Palace, the Parliament Complex and other important locations.

"25 companies will protect the Presidential Palace," said Murad in Jakarta on Thursday (11/24).

Muslim conservatives will stage another protest in Jakarta this week. They want the police to arrest Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama.

Previously, the police named the governor as a suspect in a blasphemy case.
