Jokowi to Hold Cabinet Meeting on Mount Agung Eruption

Jakarta: President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is due to hold a limited cabinet meeting at the Wisma Werdapura building in Sanur, Denpasar, Bali on Friday, December 22, 2017.

Jokowi will discuss Mount Agung volcanic eruption in northeast Bali. He will address the latest economic condition in the popular tourist destination.

"We will show that Bali is safe. Bali is safe for End of Year holiday," said the PDIP politician in a press release.

Jokowi departed from Domine Eduard Osok Aiport in Sorong City this afternoon. He arrived at Ngurah Rai airport in Denpasar City in the evening.

Jokowi was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Puan Maharani, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Health Minister Nila Moeloek and environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya. He was welcomed by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, State Secretary Minister Pratikno, Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Tourism Minister Arief Yahya, Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki and Bali Governor I Made Mangku Pastika.
