Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Indonesian law enforcement agencies have detected hundreds of Indonesian citizens in ISIS strongholds in Syria and Iraq.

Indonesian Authorities have detected at least 671 Indonesian citizens. They have identified more than 500 Indonesian citizens.

"We have detected 524 males and 147 females," the National Police spokesperon Inspector General Setyo Wasisto said at the National Police building in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

About 94 Indonesian citizens have been killed in Iraq and Syria. Around 84 Indonesian citzens have returned to the archipelago.

"The information is gathered by the Special Detachment 88 Anti-Terror," he said.
