Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo received the Muslim Students Association Alumni Corps (KAHMI) Presidium at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Friday afternoon.

"We will hold a national congress in the near future. We will have a new leader soon," KAHMI Presidium coordinator Mahfud MD said.

They discussed a number of issues during the mmeeting. They proposed a national hero status for the Muslim Students Association (HMI) founder Lafran Pane.

"Thank God, the president will name Lafran Pane as national hero," the former Constitutional Court chief said.

They also discussed various development problems with the government. They strongly supported effective government measures against the widening inequality.

"Therefore, development should benefit poor people in the country," the former law minister added.
