Metrotvnews.com, Pontianak: The Pontianak Health Agency has prepared 200 thousand masks to prevent Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (URI) cases during dry season.

"We have prepared 200 thousand masks," the Pontianak health Agency head Sidiq Handanu told Metrotvnews.com on Friday.

Pontianak's air is still safe for the public. The city's Air Polution Index (API) is still normal until now.

"Police have requested some masks," he said.

Long dry season could trigger forest fires. The weather condition could worsen air pollution problems.

"We will monitor public health centers," he added.
