Jakarta: Golkar Party's Central Executive Board (DPP Golkar) will hold a plenary meeting on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

The board will mainly discuss about Golkar Party Chairman Setya Novanto's case. The meeting will also address Golkar Party leadership's future.

"The proposed extaordinary congress will be evaluated by the central executive board at the plenary meeting," Golkar Party executive chairman Nurdin Halid said.

The House of Representatives speaker was taken into custody by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Sunday evening. He was named as a suspect in the electronic identity card (e-KTP) graft case in late October.

The influential lawmaker was investigated for causing Rp2.3 trillion in state losses. He was accused of receiving Rp574 billion from the project funds

"Golkar Party will continue our activities despite Novanto's case," he added.
