Metrotvnews.com. Jakarta: The Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) on Tuesday published the latest survey on the current government's public approval rating.
According to the public opinion survey, the current government's public approval rating stood at 68.3 percent in August 2017. It stood at 66.5 percent in the same period last year.
"Most people were quite satisfied with the current government's performance," CSIS researcher Arya Fernandez said.
On the other hand, President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's electability rating stood at 50.9 percent last month. It stood at 41.9 percent in the same period.
"The significant increase in the latest survey was really fantastic," the political researcher said.
The Jakarta-based think tank interviewed about 1,000 people from 34 provinces on August 23-30. It used multistage random sampling method with margin of error of 3.1 percent.
The next presidential election will be held in 2019. It will be conducted simultaneously with the legislative election.
