Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Jakarta Metro Police will prohibit demonstration at Sudirman-Thamrin area.

"We will not give recommendation. We will not allow it," said Jakarta Metro Police chief Mochammad Iriawan in Jakarta on Monday (11/21).

Muslim hardliners reportedly will hold another protest next Friday. They will observe Friday prayer at Sudirman-Thamrin area.

"They can hold the protest at other areas," he continued.

Muslim hardliners held a protest in the capital earlier this month. They demanded the police to charge Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama for blasphemy.
