Jokowi Receives Danish PM at Bogor Palace

Bogor: Indonesian President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo received Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen at Bogor Palace in Bogor city, West Java province on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

"I am happy to welcome Danish prime minister today. I was also happy to welcome Danish queen two years ago," Jokowi said.

The two leaders dicussed about a wide range of bilateral issues between the two countries. They also talked about a number of cooperation opportunities in various sectors.

At the bilateral meeting, Jokowi highlighted the negotiation process of the Indonesia-EU Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU-CEPA). He addressed the black campaign against the palm oil industry. 

On the other hand, Rasmussen invited the Indonesian government to attend The first Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit. He urged the Indonesian government to join the global initiative.

The P4G Summit will be held in Denmark in November 2018. It will be attended by P4G members such as Denmark, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Korea, Mexico and Vietnam.
