KPK Arrests Nganjuk Regent
Illustration (Photo: MI/Panca Syurkani), Jakarta: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested Nganjuk Regent Taufiqurrahman during a sting operation in Nganjuk, East Java on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.

"We carried out a sting operation. We arrested around 15 people," KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah said.

"We will hold a press conference soon. We will give a detailed explanation there," he added.

PDIP has confirmed Taufiqurrahman's arrest. The political party has dismissed the regional leader.

"Our rule is very clear. Our decision is according to the procedure," PDIP secretary General Hasto Kristianto said.
