ISIS Eyes Poso As Base in Southeast Asia

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88) investigation division head Faisal Tayeb said ISIS militants are eyeing Poso as their base in Southeast Asia.

"They are eyeing Poso as their base in Asia," Faisal said on Wednesday (11/30)

He mentioned ISIS affiliates will try to enter Poso. They will imitate Abu Sayyaf group in the southern Philippines.

"The government must take over Poso immediately," he stated.

He mentioned that ASEAN countries have increased cooperation to prevent the terrorist organization. They have agreed to conduct regular meetings.

"We also have capacity building cooperation," he concluded.
