Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The National Police has urged the House of Representatives to pass the Terrorism Law revision.

The National Police currently cannot arrest ISIS returnees. The agency also cannot investigate ISIS supporters.

"It is one of the weaknesses of the existing laws," the National Police Chief said in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.

The National Police has monitored a lot of ISIS returnees. The agency has coordinated with a number of law enforcement agencies, including the Immigration Directorate General, the Customs and Excise Directorate General and the Turkish Intelligence Agency.

""The revision will enable the government to charge ISIS returnees," the former National Counterterrorism Agency head said.
