Karangasem: Authorities reopened I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali province at 15:00 Central Indonesia Time (WITA) on Wednesday, November 29, 2017.

"I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport will be reopened at 15:00 WITA," said a press release from the airport management.

The Bali airport was re-opened after a nearly three-day closure. The international airport was closed due to erupting Mount Agung volcano.

Mount Agung started to spew gray volcanic smoke last week. It continued to show increasing volcanic activity throughout the week.

The alert status was upgraded to the highest level (Level 4) this month. It was downgraded to the lower level (Level 3) last month.
