Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: PPP chairman Romahurmuziy urged Muslim conservatives to cancel their plan to hold another massive rally on December 2.

"PPP is the oldest Islamic political party in Indonesis," said Romahurmuziy at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (11/22).

"We hope they cancel their plan," he continued.

Muslim conservatives staged a massive rally on November 4. They demanded the police to charge Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama for blasphemy.

Romahurmuziy mentioned the police has fulfilled their demand. The police has named the governor as a suspect.

"We should preserve diversity in the country," he stated.
